What to Expect during a session of EFT at Tapping Works

  • Sessions are confidential and skilfully focussed on the issues you bring, where you would most like to experience change. My extensive training and experience as a Clinical Psychologist enables me to offer EFT and work with your individual needs effectively and safely, at a pace that works best for you. You can expect sessions to be delivered in a supportive, caring and non-judgemental manner.

  • The first session usually lasts around an hour and a half and includes an extra half an hour at the start to explain about the process of tapping including a demonstration of where the tapping points are on the face and body (see diagram). It is also helpful to spend some time thinking about the areas/issues you would like to work on and any other details that it would be helpful for me to know. There will be lots of opportunity to ask any questions before deciding if you would like to go ahead with the tapping. Additional follow-up sessions last up to an hour.

  • Some clients reach their desired goal within one or two sessions whereas other clients prefer to attend more regularly. It is entirely your choice how many sessions you decide to book and can be decided as you go.

  • During online sessions (using Zoom) clients tap on the points themselves, mirroring the practitioner who simultaneously taps their own EFT Tapping points at the same time as verbally summarising the issues being worked on for the client to help maintain focus (clients can either repeat the words being used in their head or say them out loud depending what they feel more comfortable with). During face to face sessions clients can also choose if they prefer to be tapped on by the practitioner or to tap themselves.

  • If you would be interested in booking in a session, or have any questions, please contact me via email or use the online form.
